1. Often it's not even about how to resist snacking in front of the TV, but how to get rid of the habit of snacking overall. It may not be pleasant to read, but the best way of prevention is actually that you don't buy unhealthy snacks. If you consider this task extremely cruel, try substitution: instead of unhealthy foods put fruits and vegetables in your shopping cart. At the same time, gradually reduce the amount as well.
2. Snacking in front of the TV is for many a way of coping with stress, letting off steam. Is it your case too? Create rather a different habit that will be your source of happiness hormones. Take a brisk walk or a fragrant bath, start going to group dance exercises or allow yourself to be overcome by addiction to detective stories (in book version, of course).
3. Lack of sleep increases the production of hormones responsible for hunger. Hunger can greatly strengthen the desire for snacking. So, treat yourself to 7-8 hours of peaceful sleep every day.
4. If no tip on how to resist snacking in front of the TV helps you, then try snacking differently. Replace solid snacks with liquid ones, for example tea, coffee, lemonade without sugar or plain water. Sometimes it's just about keeping your hands busy and your taste buds gently stimulated. And that works with drinks too.
