InstaTIP: 3 minutes on what healthy weight loss can look like

1. Healthy weight loss is defined in numbers mostly like this: loss of 1% of body weight per week. It is clear that expecting exact values and identical results for everyone would be absurd. However, this value is a good reference point, and larger fluctuations may mean a not entirely ideal pace of weight loss.

2. When you don't have a very healthy diet, a lot is done just by exchanging some courses and ingredients for nutritionally more valuable alternatives. Fruits, vegetables, whole grain foods contain fiber, which gets you to the feeling of satiety faster, not to mention that when your body gets what it really needs (vitamins, minerals), it won't ask you for more food for example through hunger pangs.

3. Starving has nothing to do with not eating. Even if you handle lack of food quite well, resist the temptation of very rapid weight loss in this way. Your body needs "fuel" for normal functioning, and if it doesn't have it, it goes into saving mode. You will start to gradually perceive insufficient supply of vitamins, minerals and energy on various bodily and mental functions.

4. Move! Weight loss will go faster, you will improve your fitness, health, immunity and take care of your mental health too. You will burn more calories, not only by direct movement, but also by kickstarting your basal metabolism (the more muscles you have, the more energy your body needs even at rest).
