InstaTIP: 3 minutes on how to reduce pre-Christmas stress

1. Forget about perfection. The more you try for it, the less you will approach it. The goal should not be Christmas like from an American movie, but time spent with loved ones and/or experiencing peace and absolute rest. What happens if you forget to buy batteries for the lights this year? Or you don't manage to decorate all the windows? Or instead of three cakes there will be only one? Really nothing serious. Do you know what a really bad scenario is? Tense atmosphere, arguments and loss of energy due to unnecessary expectations.

2. Get out of your head that you have to have everything under control. Learn to delegate tasks and duties, and don't think that the whole event is solely your responsibility. Trust your loved ones, friends, family. You can also use various services, such as grocery delivery, cleaning, baking or babysitting.

3. Don't forget about physical vitality. Think about vitamins, sleep enough and treat yourself to regular movement. Taking care of your own body is partly a form of self-love, but on the other hand it recharges the energy you need to fight stress.

STRENGTH TO FIGHT STRESS

4. Create a list of tasks in time that you want to complete by Christmas. Then take colored highlighters and prioritize. What is essential and what is just the icing on the cake.

5. Resist the temptation to shop impulsively. Pre-Christmas sales are tempting, but looking at an empty wallet can cause quite anxiety. It tends to be a source of December stresses - those inconspicuous and insidious ones.
