1. Fruits and vegetables. Yes, again, here too. :) The more of these ingredients there are, the more space (in the pot and stomach) for the unhealthy ones is reduced. For example, instead of 2 pieces of nut roll, put only one on your plate with an apple sprinkled with cinnamon. Or, when you have a salad from fresh ingredients with Christmas carp, your stomach won't ask for so much mayonnaise salad. 

2. Prefer healthier methods of food preparation, instead of frying rather bake, grill or steam. With these methods more nutrients are retained in the food, moreover you avoid some excess calories.

3. At Christmas dinner not only solid food matters, but also the liquid. Think wisely when pouring. Minimize alcohol intake and if possible, also sweet drinks. Plain water won't spoil your tastes, but if you can't get it into your stomach in any way, flavor it with lemon, fresh orange juice or other fruit. Prepare homemade iced tea from ginger and mint, and a small dose of honey is definitely a better alternative than a purchased drink containing refined sugar.

4. Correct ratios work wonders and balance is the basis of health. In practice this means that there should be a balanced ratio of proteins, fiber and healthy fats on the plate. 

5. Move. Exercise can be a replacement activity for "eating out of boredom", helps burn excess calories, but mainly, stimulates digestion and alleviates symptoms of overeating, such as flatulence, bloating and constipation.
