InstaTIP: 3 minutes on how to commit to a winter walk

1. If walking itself is no motivation for you, then simply set another goal. Are there any special, unseen by you sights, institutions or other places in your city? Or are there still some ingredients missing for the Christmas cake? Go on a journey of discovery, play tourist or go to the store with a huge detour.

2. Dress well. So that you are neither cold nor hot (but rather warm) and comfort is equally important. Don't forget to take care of every part of your body from heel (quality shoes and socks) to head (hat and sunglasses). If you don't have enough warm clothes, buy some, because physical discomfort will spoil any experience.

3. Don't place unrealistic demands on yourself. If walking hasn't been a common activity in your life until now, start gradually. Better to enjoy unexpectedly extended time than to be disappointed (and demotivated) from failing a too bold goal.

4. What causes you joy? Combine it with a walk. If you love hot drinks, take coffee or tea in a thermos. If conversations charge you with energy, invite a friend or call someone while you walk. Don't forget about the possibility of listening to music, podcasts or audiobooks.

5. Think about, maybe even write down on paper all the benefits of walks - better fitness, body shaping, psychohygiene, increasing overall vitality. Whenever you don't feel like it, repeat these advantages.
