1. To trap heat and regulate body temperature dress in layers:

- base layer for wicking moisture, i.e. sweat,

- insulating layer, that warms you up,

- waterproof layer.

2. Warm-up is an important part of training always, in cold weather however mandatory. Sport in winter is super, but also represents increased risk of strain and injuries. Devote more time to stretching and dynamic warm-up exercises to increase blood flow to muscles.

3. Think about drinking regime. The body does not signal this need very intensely in cold weather, but that does not mean it doesn't have it. However, use a bottle that prevents water from cooling down too much.

4. Adapt your training to winter weather. Start earlier due to shorter days and add more exercises that increase body temperature. 

5. Think about your extremities. They are more prone to frostbite, so wear gloves and warm socks.
