1. Hormones, age, health condition, diet, type of exercise, intensity of trainings – all this can influence to what extent sport will affect your menstrual cycle. Usually, if you do it correctly and with regard to your abilities and possibilities of your body, some positive change will appear in various areas of life, including menstruation.

2. Stress can be the cause of irregular menstruation, but in some women it affects also ovulation and strength of bleeding. Regular movement reduces stress. So, if you are troubled by irregularity, try your therapy against stress through regular exercise. And don't stress. :)

3. Overweight is a risk factor in various areas of health, and can have a very significant impact also on your menstrual cycle. Among its consequences belong not only irregularity, but also amenorrhea (complete cessation of menstruation), polycystic ovary syndrome or excessive bleeding. Well, and we probably all know that exercise is not only prevention, but partly also treatment of overweight.

4. Some studies suggest that regular movement alleviates PMS symptoms, and not only physical, but also psychological, for example mood swings or irritability.

5. Watch out for excessive energy expenditure. Very low percentage of body fat can have a negative impact on menstrual cycle, it can even stop it completely. The same applies to too demanding and frequent exercise, which excessively stresses the body.
