InstaTIP: 3 minutes on the influence of sport in prevention of physical and mental diseases

1. Martial arts, especially karate, help in maintaining youthful vitality. According to staff of University of Regensburg those older people who regularly attend karate trainings and actively perform this sport are mentally much more flexible and at same time less prone to depression, while also their organs are significantly better off.

2. Sport is one of best methods for prevention or delaying Alzheimer's disease. It is so due to its positive effect on cardiovascular system, which is at same time also certain protection against premature brain degeneration.

3. Lifestyle without movement is under normal circumstances much more harmful than "carrying" minimal overweight. In practice it means that regular physical movement is more important than weight loss.

4. Regular movement represents protection against stress. It turns out that people with good fitness and/or focused on sports solve stressful situations with greater ease.

5. Sport in fresh air is much more effective in fighting stress or depression. Same applies also in acute cases of sadness or anger.

6. Better fitness has its role also in prevention of tumor diseases, however with fact that physical movement should be intense and regular, at least 2 hours weekly.

7. People living physically actively learn easier, with this fact however interesting is that differences show in connection with gender. While in women intensity of exercise affects it, men can in this regard draw from physical strength.
