1. "Take magnesium!" Has someone told you that too sometimes when it was obvious that something upset you? That sentence was actually quite justified. Magnesium regulates neurotransmitters that send signals through nerves. Supports healthy function of nervous system, which helps alleviate stress, anxiety and improve mood.

2. Magnesium deficiency can lead to reduced energy production and fatigue. It activates ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which participates in enzymatic reactions associated with energy metabolism.

3. Magnesium plays crucial role in proper muscle function. In case of cramps or muscle pain it can help muscle tissues relax.

4. Healthy magnesium level in organism reduces risk of migraines. There are several reasons, for example that relaxes muscles, prevents vessel constriction and has positive effect on serotonin level and hormonal balance.

5. Magnesium is important for heart activity and blood pressure regulation. Helps maintain normal heart rhythm and supports blood vessel health, thus reducing risk of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.

6. Magnesium helps fight also against inflammations. Lowers levels of inflammatory markers. Low magnesium intake can be associated with chronic inflammations.

7. Thanks to its relaxing effects magnesium can help alleviate cramps and pain caused by premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Many women praise this mineral also for regulating mood swings, which are also common in this period.
