1. Exercising is super, having exercise habit is super, but being addicted to exercise is not super at all. With this disorder person becomes obsessed with exercise and literally cannot function without it. Life suddenly revolves exclusively around trainings, diet and achieving ideal body. Such addiction can lead to neglecting other areas of life, and cause health problems.

2. Exercise addiction can have serious consequences on psyche. Constant striving for perfect body and fear of gaining weight lead to development of eating disorders, such as anorexia or bulimia. Moreover, can cause depressions, anxieties and lowered self-confidence, because person never feels good enough.  Exercise addiction can also lead to social isolation, as most free time is devoted to trainings and body care.

3. With exercise addiction neither physical health is safe. Constant overloading of muscles and joints leads to chronic injuries, such as tendonitis, joint pain and even fractures. Moreover, can cause hormonal imbalance, disrupt sleep and weaken immune system, increasing for example susceptibility to infections. Well and not negligible problems are also exhaustion, fatigue and worsened performance.

4. If exercise starts affecting your daily life and you neglect other important areas, such as relationships, work or hobbies, it is signal that something is wrong. Pay attention also if you feel explicitly unhappy or have strong feelings of guilt, if you skip training or if you feel that without exercise you are not complete person.
