1. Living in female body is hard work (also) due to hormones. Some yoga positions are designed so that they stimulate endocrine system and help with maintaining hormonal balance.

2. Some yoga positions help also with managing menstrual cramps, because they support blood circulation of abdominal muscles. To this is added also meditative effect, which brings relief for body and mind.

3. Since yoga helps reduce stress and anxiety, improves blood circulation in pelvic area, supports hormonal balance and positively affects sleep, it has many benefits for women who suffer from premenstrual syndrome.

4. Flexibility, muscle strength and breathing are aids in managing pregnancy and childbirth. Yoga is an excellent method for their improvement and strengthening. Moreover it alleviates stress and anxiety, which is important during pregnancy for hormonal changes and emotional challenges. It is therefore no coincidence that there is yoga specifically for pregnant women.

5. Yoga helps also after childbirth. It can help strengthen muscles that were weakened during pregnancy and childbirth, especially core muscles, back and pelvis. Certain yoga exercises can help restore strength and firmness of muscles.
