1. Grill what not only your taste buds will enjoy, but also stomach and intestines. Excellent choice is vegetables like zucchini, eggplant, onion or pepper or mushrooms stuffed with herbs and garlic. Grilled corn is served as side dish in some courses, but this meal is sufficiently filling and wholesome even as main. Tofu is not popular only in vegan circles. Try grilling it marinated in soy sauce and ginger, it will be fantastic. 

2. Probably won't surprise you if we say that salads shouldn't be missing among side dishes in any case. However, since vegetables might not have enough carbohydrates, it can be good idea to allocate third of plate to slow carbohydrate, for example bulgur, millet, buckwheat or brown rice. 

3. In dessert offer fruit should have main place. Fresh feels good after hearty dinner, moreover saves you lot of time, after all you just wash it and pour into bowls. That is, some you will have to cut. With fresh you can serve also grilled, for example pineapple, peach, nectarines, strawberry. Don't worry, such colorful, fragrant dessert section will be equally attractive as candy bar full of cakes and sweets.

4. Although in our culture it is unimaginable for many, try it without alcohol. Rather clink glasses with some strong, distinct lemonade, for example ginger or kombucha. However if it really doesn't work without alcoholic beverages, then prefer dry wines, ideally quality red.

5. Don't starve. Such preparation for barbecue is definitely not correct preparation. You give free way to overeating this way. Firstly it is natural reaction of your body that after starving it cannot get enough, but besides that you might feel that you can eat anything and in any quantity. And then sure, you overdo it.
