
1. Don't wait for thirst. Have glass of water on nightstand, desk, bottle of water in backpack when you go for walk. So let source of liquid be always at hand.
2. During exercise body loses lot of water, which needs to be replenished as soon as possible. Not only during sports activity, but also before it and after it think about sufficient fluid intake. In heat rather don't even go to training without bottle of water.
3. Maintain your body temperature at appropriate level and reduce risk of overheating. If there are too many degrees in your apartment, close blinds and turn on fan or air conditioning.
4. In case of any illness also increase fluid intake, but definitely pay special attention to your drinking regime if you have diarrhea or stomach problems associated with vomiting.
5. Clothing from breathable materials in light colors helps reflect solar radiation and maintain body temperature at appropriate level. These materials also allow sweat evaporation and body temperature regulation.
6. Compile your menu so that it contains as much fruit and vegetables with high water content as possible, like melon, cucumber or tomato. Avoid alcohol.
