InstaTIP: 3 minutes on why it is good to exercise with a partner

1. Exercise should be about joy, but sometimes some gentle pressure doesn't hurt. Knowing that someone waits for you at playground, in gym or in their living room with training videos and large pitcher of fresh juice, can be quite motivational, when you don't feel like it right now.

2. Shared joy is double joy, shared sorrow is however half sorrow. This old wisdom applies also to exercise. It helps if you can occasionally complain to someone during training and celebrate your personal progress with someone after it. Not to mention that conversations about trainings can take place anytime, on chat or over afternoon coffee.

3. Exercising with partner can have impact also on performance by encouraging you to higher intensity or better technique. Joint exercise can be challenge for mutual improvement and growth.

4. Joint exercise increases social aspect of trainings. That is, even if it is proper hard work, there will always be another level: spending time with someone. It distracts attention when you can't anymore or muscles hurt. Moreover, it strengthens friendship bond.
